Step by step

  1. 1.Fold the sheet in half, from top to bottom.

Align the corners before pressing the fold.

  2. 2.Bring the left corner to the center line.

Mark the center with a light fold first.

  3. 3.Do the same with the right corner. A triangle will appear.

The corners should meet in the middle without overlapping.

  4. 4.Fold the lower front strip up over the triangle.

Press the fold firmly with your fingernail.

  5. 5.Turn the piece over and fold up the other strip. You have a paper hat!

Fold in the small corners sticking out at the sides.

  6. 6.Open the hat from below and flatten it, bringing the corners together. It becomes a square.

Put your fingers inside to open it without tearing.

  7. 7.Bring the lower front corner up to the top. Turn over and repeat. It forms a triangle.

Press firmly: this fold gives the boat its height.

  8. 8.Open it from below again and flatten it into a square.

The same movement as step 06, only smaller.

  9. 9.Hold the two top corners and gently pull them apart.

Pull slowly and the boat takes shape on its own.

  10. 10.Adjust the bottom and your little boat is ready!

It floats for a few minutes; try it in a basin.
